Hearthy Foods
The goal of this project is to design a package that captures the whimsy and vibrant colors of candy marshmallows.When looking at the original packaging, I noticed its simplicity and lack of visual appeal. So when looking at my own design, I prioritized incorporating a vibrant and colorful theme that perfectly complements the playful nature of candy marshmallows.
I decided to use a marshmallow illustration to match the theme of a playful and vibrant character. When it came to the background, I wanted to keep it simple yet playful.
First Design
Based on feedback from the first design, I replaced the illustration with real marshmallows arranged as if being taken from the package. I improved the back text for better legibility, added icons to the bottom front, and moved the QR code down to create more balanced spacing.
Second Design
This then led to my final design with the feedback I was given I ended up with this redesign packing with other flavored versions aswell. In this version, the marshmallows are much smaller in the center of the packing not taking up too much space anymore but still providing enough information about what you’re eating.
